'We will give Maratha reservation in 2 phases': Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

The government of Maharashtra has formed an advisory board, led by retired judges, to address the issue of Maratha reservation. The board will provide suggestions on the matter to the government and collect empirical data on the backwardness of the Maratha community. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also mentioned that reservations will be given to the Maratha community in two phases, based on caste certificates and economic backwardness. He urged those inciting violence in the name of the reservation to consider the harm caused to the Maratha society.
